ROBERT JACKSON

Founder/ Executive Director, U.S. Navy Photographer

B-Roll was founded in 2012 by Robert Jackson, a media art professional, who experienced the struggles and humiliation of going through school with an undiagnosed learning disability, Dyslexia. He found solace and direction in media arts which gave him confidence, built his self-esteem, and put him on the path to a successful career in media & broadcasting. In creating B- Roll Media & Arts, Robert sought to use his knowledge and life experience to provide positive educational experiences for young people just like him.

Robert has more than 30 years of industry experience in radio, television, and film production. A graduate of American University, (Washington DC) and veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served as a US Navy photographer, Jackson’s experience stretches across major broadcast networks such as Black Entertainment Television, NPR, CNN News, National Geographic, and NBC’s Today Show, Meet the Press, Nightly News, and. Additionally, Robert holds a leadership position with Scorpio Sound Systems, his own full service production company that specializes in TV, radio, film production, and A/V installation. 

As the leader of B-Roll Media & Arts, Inc., Robert is dedicated to enriching the lives of youth and those who are mentally or physically disabled and exposing them to the opportunities and recreational outlets of media and fine arts.

 

IVAN BURKETH

Director of Technology

Ivan Burketh has over 30 years of design, implementation, operation, and education for radio and television broadcasting, live sound, studio recording, and video. He studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Akron and serves as the CEO/CTO at Burketh Enterprises, LLC. As the Director of Technology for B-Roll Media & Arts, Inc., Ivan will provide years of industry knowledge and a keen sense of technical aptitude to ensure that the children enrolled in the programs have access to every tool and resource available to them to assist in reaching their goals.

 

Anthony Henderson

Director of Program Development and Conceptualization

Anthony Henderson is a living kidney donor working to end homelessness in Durham, NC. As a visionary strategist and adept connector, Anthony is able to bridge the gap from conceptualization to tangible results. With 25 years of experience in nonprofit management, he has honed his expertise in program development, operational efficiency, administrative excellence, and board governance. His leadership empowers teams to thrive through effective communication, resourceful human capital management, and a relentless pursuit of strategic objectives. Whether navigating complex challenges or charting new paths, Anthony’s impact reverberates throughout the organizations he serves.

 

JONATHAN GRUBER

Director of Creative Strategies

Jonathan Gruber is an Emmy Award–winning Director and Executive Producer with extensive experience in documentary filmmaking, commercials, broadcast news features, PSAs, interactive multimedia, and promotional and educational content. His clients have included National Geographic, The History Channel, Discovery Channel, ESPN, DreamWorks, the Travel Channel, GAP, Oracle, Cisco, The World Bank, NYMEX, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Operation Lifesaver, the Biometrics Task Force, and the FBI. Beyond his production work, Jonathan is dedicated to fostering connections between communities, professionals, and young people, creating meaningful opportunities to interact, engage, and grow through the programs his organization delivers.

 

DR. WENDY JACKSON

Medical Advisor

Wendy Jackson is a Pediatrician with almost 40 years of combined education and career experience. She has provided medical expertise to children and families within the US and in Jamaica. Throughout the course of her career, Wendy has served as the Assistant Director of a children’s health center and within the Pediatric department of a hospital, has operated multiple private practices, been a professor, and has been an appointed faculty member at the George Washington University School of Medicine. Wendy has taken pride in providing optimal health care services, consultation, and education to children, their parents, and the community. She will serve as an advisor to the Executive Board of B-Roll Media & Arts, Inc., with a goal of providing critical and educated information about the mental and physical needs of the youthful participants in regards to their health and well-being.

 

Simms Lumami

Deputy Director

Simms Lumami is an accomplished producer, director, and writer with an extensive track record in creating documentary films, commercials, broadcast news features, interactive multimedia, and promotional and educational videos.Lumami’s career reflects a blend of creative vision and technical expertise, shaped by his ability to merge strong narrative direction with high production value. His projects often emphasize cultural storytelling, social impact, and global perspectives, positioning him as a versatile media professional who can seamlessly move between artistic expression and client-driven deliverables. With a deep understanding of both traditional and emerging media platforms, he leverages innovative approaches to capture stories that connect across audiences and formats.

 

Samuel Sangatile

Director of Finance and Strategic Marketing

Samuel Sangatile is a dedicated financial professional with a passion for economies, capital markets, investigations, forensic accounting, and statistics. His work is not just about numbers, but deeply rooted in his engagement with social justice, regulatory compliance, and enforcement. He is dedicated to serving the public and communities, a commitment that drives his every action.

Samuel currently holds the role of Senior Examiner at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), where he operates in financial investigations and market regulation. Prior to this, he served as a Financial Examiner for the State of Texas, regulating investment markets and ensuring compliance with State Regulations.

With a background as a Corporate Operations Officer in commercial banking, Samuel has contributed to the financial sector in both Texas and Colorado. He began his financial career in banking, where he gained valuable experience in financial operations and people service.

 

greg Hartman

Vice President

Greg Hartman’s 23-year career serving the music, radio, television, film and education industries has been built on a reputation for excellence.

As president of Big Mo Recording Services, Greg Hartman provided engineering skills, leadership, training and management expertise to an illustrious client list including The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, National Public Radio, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Black Entertainment Television, WETA Public Television, MTV, VH1, The Bonnaroo Music Festival, Warner Bros. Records, and Sony Music.

Under Mr. Hartman’s leadership, Big Mo Recording Services worked on numerous Stellar, Peabody and Grammy award-winning projects including “Love is Live”, with Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Tabernacle Choir and “Psalms, Hymns & Spiritual Songs” with Donnie McClurkin.

Greg Hartman currently serves as an educator and small business advisor. As a guest lecturer, workshop facilitator and adjunct professor with the Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts, Greg teaches the art and science of audio engineering. His comprehensive classes introduce the physics of sound wave propagation, professional sound system design, operation and applications, and industry standard practices and terminology. Additionally, Mr. Hartman places a special emphasis on garnering the life skills required to build a career in the highly competitive world of audio production.

His current company, Insightful Dialogue Coaching, helps entrepreneurs and small business owners to enhance their strengths and to mitigate their challenges in order to create bright futures for themselves, their families and their employees.
